Working
I changed my motivation for a little while and have been working long hours to try and get some money to buy new tires for the bus and catch up on some things. It's hard to be on the other side of the fence for a while. I'm usually the one asking my friends to do stuff and they say they cant because they have to work. Doing electrical work is fun and I get to watch the sunrise every morning.

Surprise Visit from Dylan
Dylan called me and told me he was in Austin. He rode his bike here from New Orleans and was headed to the West coast. I like where Dylan's head is. He is on a bike trip across the country with basically no gear at all. a sleeping bag and the clothes on his back. He's riding an old bike he got for under 100 bucks, he threw some wooden fenders on it.

Welcome to the Woods
They built a nice set of horse shoe pits at Eastside. James Nutter has dialed in the double bop .
I went out there on Friday, John Ryan soaked the jumps at sunset. We were able to get in a half dozen runs.. My friend took a few pictures..

Ditch Mission
After seeing that ditch on the road bike ride the other day, I had to go out there and ride it. Matty and I pedaled there and hit a few fun spots along the way. This DIY alley skate spot was a damn good time.
And the we found the Oasis. And started getting squirrelly all over that thing. It was tricky to ride it and it felt kinda like a pool. I took a few pictures of Matty riding it. He did an air to tire slide 180.

The Trails and Tribulations
The jumps in Austin are all running really good right now. Not so Hush had like 30 people there having a blast the other day. It felt like riding would feel on the moon after a nice soft rain... There were a bunch of radios playing hit after hit and everyone was just doing trains all day long.
Bobby Parker was clicking turndowns on a 24".
quarter pipe blast..

Riding on the Road
I love going on road bike rides in the morning. It's a nice way to start a day. It's a lot different going on bike rides in Austin. I'm used to big rolling hills with trees and fields everywhere, and here you are just pedaling through neighborhoods. And when you do get outside of town enough to not see a house, there is bolts all over the street from all the crappy cars falling apart.
This was shown to me on the last road bike ride...

cheese bag
The prototype cheese bag got made, and its looking bad ass. I was talking to Vicio The Artist about how no one makes a bike bag specific for a BMX but that gigantic DK golf bag. That things cool if your Drew Bezanson and your hanging out in Hilton Hotels on road trips, but the trips I usually go on, there's no room for Golf Clubs.
He got in touch with the finest sail maker in Paradise and designed the most inconspicuous flight bag, so you dont have to deal with the hassle.
He also sent me a picture of the flags I sent him, in action...
